HYHA's Primary Rink is the Hopkins Pavilion (PAV), located at 11000 Excelsior Blvd in Hopkins, MN
Hopkins Youth Hockey Association (HYHA) operates within District 3 Hockey in accordance with D3, Minnesota Hockey and USA Hockey rules, regulations and guidelines with the objectives of:
- Creating a positive developmental experience for all participants; including players, coaches and parents
- Emphasizing individual skill development over team performance
- Building individual skill sets necessary for optimal team performance
- Enabling a developmental relationship between HYHA, the Hopkins Boys and Hopkins/Park Girls High School hockey programs
- Promoting teamwork, good sportsmanship and fair play
HYHA is a Non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. All of the funds raised through season fees, tournaments, charitable gambling profits, etc. are used in support of the organizational goals.
HYHA has a flat fee pricing structure for our programs. The cost includes district fees, all ice time, tournament fees, referees, game costs, non-parent coaches and other such expenses. Each travel team manager is provided discretionary funds to cover incidental team expenses like lodging for non-parent coaches at away tournaments, team swag/apparel and team pizza parties.
